Swisso Kalmo implemented EU/FAO funded project for 2000 households of small holder’s farmers (men and women). The target beneficiaries were supported through seed distribution and training on Good Agricultural Practices conducted by Farm Field School (FFS), training on rural commercialization module, development of Farmers’ Organizations (FOs), linkage with traders, private companies and consumers, construction of produce storage, rehabilitation of main irrigation canal of 8.2 Km, establishment of credit scheme based on revolving fund through distribution of seeds. The impact includes the introduction of new skills for the small holder farmers and enhancing their capacities to capitalize their potential in the agriculture sector thus contributing to commercialized farming for prioritized crops.
